It amazes me that my son completely lacks the ability to determine what is safe vs. dangerous.
Today the kids and I went to the Racquet's Edge for a birthday celebration. All children pile out before the adults and next thing you know I can't see Caiden. When I find out that the pool is 4 feet deep my feet move a little quicker and I finally spot him, jumping right in and then thrashing trying to stay afloat. What was probably less than 30 seconds felt a whole lot longer as I get to the pool side and yank him out. He was fine, thankfully and once I checked him over we grabbed a life jacket and he was back swimming around and trying out the slide.
After he says 'thank you mommy for saving me I almost drowned'. I swear this boy of mine is determined to die young... or make his mama die young of a heart attack.
